Walgreens Trip

I’m glad I was able to stock up on deodorant this week. With CVS offering ECB’s on my favorite brand and Walgreens having Sure on sale (hubby’s favorite), I was able to get them cheap!

IMG_0679

I had $2 in Register Rewards from last week.

All – $4 (sale)
- $1 coupon
Sure 2/$5
- $1 coupon
-$2 Walgreens coupon
Jiffy $.99
Total: $9.99 – $2 RR, – $4 coupons = $4.49 (with tax)

I didn’t earn any Register Rewards but I’m ok with that. I’m not a fan of Walgreens program like I am with CVS. If you buy 3 products and have coupons for each AND a Register Rewards to use, you can’t. Register Rewards are actually Manufacturer coupons (unlike ECB’s). You have to have the same amount of products for the amount of coupons if you use Register Rewards.

While this time I needed the Jiffy mix, there have been times when I didn’t need or want anything and couldn’t use all my coupons. It’s frustrating and silly. But, when it works, it works.

CVS Trip – Loaded up with Pepsi!

I had $20 in ECB’s to spend (from last week’s Pepsico deal – Spend $40 get $20 in ECB’s – I purchased 12-12 pks of Pepsi products.)

IMG_0681

Please ignore the fact that I took this in my basement, on my washer :) – my storage area is in the laundry room and all of these went down there (except the milk).

Transaction #1:
8 Gatorade – 4/$5
2 Starbucks Frappucinos (4 pk) $5
Total:$20.71 – $20 ECB = $.71
Earned $10 ECB

Transaction #2:
Dove Deodorant 2/$7
- 2 $2/1 printable
M&M’s 2/$6
- $1/2 blinkie (next to M&M’s)
Ritz 2-pk $6
- $2/2
Milk $1.89
Total: $19.89 – $5 coupons – $10 ECB = $6.82 (with tax)
Earned $6 in ECB’s ($2 each, Dove, Ritz, and M&M’s)

I really should have done a third transaction to keep my out of pocket cost down, but I didn’t. Oh well.

Since I started off with a huge upfront cost, I like to factor that in. So, for $47.53 (Initial $40 purchase), I have in my stockpile 12 -12 pks of Pepsi, 8 gatorades, 2 4-pks of Starbuck Frappucino’s, 2 Dove deoderants, 2 boxes of Ritz, and two bags of M&M’s AND I have $6 in ECB’s. Not bad; I think I’m set with pop for a very long time!

Swagbucks Anyone?

I love me some free stuff and right now, the way I get it is through Swagbucks. Don’t know what Swagbuck is? It’s a website much like google where you search and are awarded occasionally with Swagbucks.

These “bucks” can be redeemed for various items, but I tend to cash them in for Amazon gift cards. I just cashed in enough for a $20 gift card yesterday. And all I did was search using their site! No gimmicks, no tricks.

Just sign up for an account here, start searching and start earning. There are other ways to earn too. Shopping, participating in a “Swag hunt”, reviewing special offers (SUPER easy), promoting, downloading their widget, and so many other ways.

Do any of you use Swagbucks? How do you like it?
